I have to agree with the commenters. Produce an army and reduce women's rights to nothing - that's a two-fer in the far right's eyes.

It's not just about women's rights, either. I'm sure my husband would be disappointed to have our sex life hampered by latex and pregnancy uncertainty.
I read recently in Reason magazine that there seems to be a multi-country drop in birth rates, and that some governments are offering some pretty crazy incentives for childbearing. Why can't this country just be as straight-foreward as some of the others and just offer loads of cash?
Oh wait. That's built into the income tax system already, isn't it?
